For Tutors
Opportunities to Tutor

Following our tutor application and background checks, and a tutor orientation, you can get started in tutoring and giving back to the community.
Opportunities to Tutor Remotely
The global pandemic has adversely impacted the schooling of many students around the nation, especially those who were underserved to begin with. In school districts and vulnerable communities that have few resources, adapting to the technical and mental changes required for virtual learning has been daunting.
To ensure that these students don't fall behind, we've continued many of our tutoring programs virtually as well, accommodating the students needs in these times. In order to support more quality 1:1 time with tutors, we are leveraging the virtual nature of the current tutoring program to open up tutoring for interested and vetted candidates from across the nation. If you are interested in remote tutoring, please fill the form below or send an email to saitutoring@sathyasai.us.
Starting a Tutoring Program
Starting a new tutoring program in an underserved community is a great way to give back and engage the community.
There are many things to consider before starting a program such as:
Will it be a community based program or an after-school/weekend school program?
What will you teach? How do you know this is what the community needs?
Where will you teach?
Do you have a reliable source of tutors?
How will you communicate with students, parents, teachers, school and tutors?
Given our experience with many tutoring programs across the nation, we have put together guides to help set up tutoring programs considering all the above and many more questions. Please email saitutoring@sathyasai.us for more information or fill out the form below.
